Embossed Favor Bag tutorial with the Cricut Cuttlebug!

**Though I was compensated for this post in product and/or monetarily, all opinions, ideas and comments are 100% my own. Please note: this post may also contain affiliate links.**

Hi, yall! I'm SO excited to begin sharing some of the projects from the wedding I worked on last month!

The first one I'm sharing was created using my amazing, brand new, mint-colored Cricut Cuttlebug which retails for $89.99. Make sure you take full advantage of the current deal going on over on the Cricut website! 30% off mats, blades and tools (valid until 7/5 only)!

Also, if you use the code CHRISTMASINJULY at checkout, you will receive free shipping within the U.S. (valid until 8/1).

The Cuttlebug is an adorably cute, compact die cut and embossing (manual) machine by Cricut. Just like the Air2, it comes in various colors to match.

Check out the sweet embossed favor bags I created for the reception! They held beautifully hand piped cookies by my incredible friend, Dawn. Thank you Dawn! I LOVE YOU!

Here, via FB live, is how I made them! Honestly, I made a ton in just a show amount of time. The Cuttlebug made it a very easy, quick and fun experience. My daughter helped me, of course!

You can see all of the embossing folders that Cricut has for sale, here.

I'm excited to add some more to my collection, especially the holiday and birthday ones for card making.

Hope you enjoyed the tutorial! Be sure to share you Cricut projects on Social Media, using the hashtag #cricutmade. Until next time!

Happy Birthday Mickey Mouse! Styling a Photoshoot or Birthday Party with the Cricut Air 2!

Hi y'all! One of my favorite things to do is style photoshoots!

I have done quite a few for my talented friend Stefanie of Stefanie Photography!

**Though I was compensated for this post in product and/or monetarily, all opinions, ideas and comments are 100% my own. Please note: this post may also contain affiliate links.**

I also enjoy styling parties! When my kiddies were little, I had a BLAST! From Toy Story Parties, to Dr Seuss and of course, Minnie Mouse ones, I styled them all using my ORIGINAL Cricut machines! I still have my Cricut Expression!

Yesterday was MICKEY MOUSE'S BIRTHDAY! Happy Birthday to the most famous mouse EVER!

I thought I'd share this sweet Mickey Mouse-inspired photoshoot I styled last week for Stefanie, as well as take a look back at some of the Mickey/Minnie Inspired parties I've styled and show y'all how EASY with my brand new machine, the Cricut Explore Air 2!

Stock Photo
I was lucky enough to receive the Cricut Air 2 to review and compare it to previous models. I have my Expression as I mentioned, as well as the previous Explore Air.

I figured I'd do it in a fun way! MICKEY MOUSE IS ALWAYS FUN! :)

You can see the rest of the photos for this shoot on Stefanie's FB page here. The sweet birthday boy was just SO precious, too!

The banners were SO easy to make using my Cricut Air 2! Best part, since I had to make a ton of  Mickey heads, I went ahead and gave that new 'fast mode' a try! Did you know that the Cricut Air 2 cuts TWICE as fast as its predecessor?! Well, it does, and it's AWESOME!

I found all of the elements for the banners either in Cricut Access (here's coupon for 10% off the rest of your order if you sign up for Access) or on the Mickey and Friends Cricut Cartridge which I had from A LONG time ago! Here's a special link for the Cricut Thanksgiving sale, you can buy Cricut cartridges for the lowest price of the season!

I found a stack of cardstock in the colors I needed for the photoshoot and went to town cutting the Mickey heads! I punched holes out where I wanted to hang them, and then used red and white baker's twine to put the banner together.

The front banner was equally as easy. I used a banner found in Cricut Access and cut out each layer in Design Space using the colors I wanted and font I wanted. I put all layers together using my favorite permanent Crafter's tape roll.

SO CUTE, right?!

Here's that Minnie Sweets table I did for my daughter's 5th birthday from LONG ago! Don't judge the picture, my photo skills were not that great back then!

Sweets by Pop-A-Razzi

Though I loved my Cricut Expression back then, the brand new Explore Air 2 definitely makes life SO much easier. Gone are the days of having to purchase the physical cartridges, or being limited to just whatever cartridge you owned. The ease of being able to purchase images and fonts RIGHT in Design Space make for a more fun experience! Also, did you know that you can upload your OWN images and fonts into Design Space!? Well, you can!

So Happy Birthday Mickey, and make sure YOU check out the new Air 2 from Cricut! It makes styling both Photoshoots AND Birthdays a breeze!

What fun Disney projects have YOU done?! Please share them with me in the comments!

A huge thank you to Cricut for continuing to support my crafting habit! ;)

Vintage Tea Party Photoshoot

Over the summer I had the wonderful privilege of working with one of my awesome friends, Aneta of Yellow Lollipop Photography.  She is not only EXTREMELY talented at catching incredible moments, she also happens to be amazingly sweet! I got to see firsthand what being a photographer and working with kids is all about and I gotta tell you, I give her the utmost respect for it!  The kids were BEAUTIFUL and of course amazing, but some just didn't want to be photographed, though in these pictures you could never tell it!

Here is the result of my styling, baking and her incredible photography and editing.  All printables were done by my other amazingly talented friend Jess of OhSoPrintable so check her out too! (All children were published with permission of their parents!)

I hope you enjoyed our Vintage Tea Party photoshoot as much as we enjoyed shooting/styling it!  Please check out Jess, Aneta and my page as well!  Below are the links once more!

Dr. Seuss' Birthday Party! (revisited)

Hi y'all! If you know me in real life,  or if you have followed this blog for awhile, you KNOW I have a passion for Dr. Seuss and all of his incredible books and characters!  Every year, come March 2nd, we celebrate his birthday and throw an after school party for our friends in his honor!

I didn't go as all out this year as I usually do.  This was right smack in the middle of me being at my sickest, pre-surgery.  However, it wouldn't have been March 2nd, without celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday, so we did what we could!  With the help of my sweet cyber-bestie Dawn, and some awesome printables, we were able to have some Seussical fun! I shared most of this party a few weeks ago over at Spaceships and Laserbeams, but just in case you missed it here it is again!

Dawn was sweet enough to ship me this dress along with some delicious and GORGEOUS cookies!  Doesn't my Wunkie Princess look beautiful?! Love her!

Of course, it's Dawn, aka Ms. Pop-A-Razzi, who loves Seuss as much as I do, so even the box she shipped these incredible cookies in was decorated!  It was only right I place it on the table as part of the decor!

She really captured each Seuss character SO well.  "Red fish, Blue fish", anyone? Perhaps a Cat's hat?

How about the cat, himself?  My personal favorite characters, those troublesome Things!

The detail is absolutely amazing.  They, of course, were delicious, too!

My other favorite character is Sam I am!  Why do I love the badly behaved or irritating characters so much?  That says something about me, doesn't it?

My daughter absolutely LOVES Horton. She has a stuffed Horton that she drags everywhere!

I made some Thing One and Thing Two inspired vanilla cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.

We had some green eggs and ham.  The eggs are simply deviled eggs with some green food coloring.  If you have never made deviled eggs, you are missing out!  Just take the hard boiled egg yokes out sand mash them up in a bowl or run them through the food processor.  Add some mayo and spicy mustard, salt and pepper to taste and you have delicious deviled eggs!

We drank some "Pink Ink" and ate some red fish.  For the "Pink Ink", I took some store-bought 100% Juice lemonade, and added some frozen raspberries to it about 15 minutes before the party so that the lemonade would stay cold and turn pink.

My boys and their friends had a BLAST!  (Someone is too old to wear a Seuss shirt in his opinion!)

My Wunkie Princess loved every moment as well, but especially the cupcakes!  Isn't she so cute?!

I gave out bookmarks as party favors. Those and all other printables can be found here and were done by Wanessa Carolina Creations.

All in all, we had a terrific and Seussical time!  I hope I have inspired you to throw a Seuss party of your own next year!  Like Seuss said, "Today good, today was fun, tomorrow is another one."

A Dino-MITE party!

Hi y'all! If you follow me on Facebook, you likely know that I am down for the count, unfortunately!  It's a good thing I'm awesome at procrastinating on editing pictures and writing posts, or I'd have nothing to share with you! ;) Lucky for you, I have endless projects and parties photographed and ready to share! That's my justification for slacking on sharing last year's projects, and I'm sticking by it!

Today, I thought I'd share a party I did last summer for a very sweet client and her incredibly cute boy! Enjoy!  I styled the entire party, down to the tags, and did all the sweets as well.

Cookies 'n' Cream Cake

The "dirt" on the cake is crushed up oreos! :) To create the buttercream grass use the Wilton tip #233.

Brownie Lava Cakes with Chocolate ganache
The lava cakes were baked in cupcake tins then turned upside down.  The "lava" is simply some chocolate ganache and red sanding sugar.

The sweets table was decorated with some moss and plenty of dinosaurs! A few apothecary jars filled with some dino gummies and green candies completed the look.

Here's a tip: Buy some simple matching bins/baskets and add some tags to them to hold everything in place and to group items.

A custom banner was created and sewn together for the occasion, as well! It's so easy, I promise anyone can do it!

All it takes is some scrapbook paper and ribbon! Here's a close-up!

One last look at that sweets table...

It was a DINO-Mite time!

xoxo
