Hi y'all! I'm excited to FINALLY be able to share my awesome news with you! Last year, Erika and I filmed an episode of FLEA MARKET FLIP!
In case you have been living under a rock, FMF is a show by the HGTV network, hosted by Lara Spencer (of GMA fame) where two teams are given $500 and a 'flip list' and set free at a flea market to buy 3 pieces that they must flip for profit. The team with the most profits, wins a cash prize!
Ever since the show began airing, bloggers and DIY'ers everywhere swooned, I know I did! Imagine my surprise when I received a call from Sammi from casting telling me they wanted to cast E and I to film for the 3rd season!
Some background, I was actually in the hospital the day I received the call. My good friend Dee (from Deeconstructed) had been tweeting David Dall who is one of the talented workshop specialists on the show, and good friends with Lara. Apparently, Dee volunteered me to be on the show when she was offered a spot, while I was recovering from surgery to remove Stage 1 ovarian cancer. Unfortunately, they were only casting people who lived in the tri-state area. So she suggested to them that Erika join me for the show!
The LONG wait for our episode to air is FINALLY over! I can't discuss the details yet with you, as I promised HGTV to keep my trap shut for once, but I CAN tell you to tune in to Great American Country this Sunday, Aug. 17th at 8pm for the premire of "Til death do us flip"! I think that title is perfect for E and I! :)
I'm extremely excited to see it air, and I had a blast filming it with my main partner in crime, Erika!
