The beginning as I know it

Ok, so here I am! :) I meant to start this blog last week but we unexpectedly got two four week old puppies. Yeah. That happened.  Well, technically we got one puppy but we (or I) puppy-sat my brother's puppy while he got to zip line in the Dominican Republic.  Needless to say, one puppy is a lot of work...TWO puppies had me on the verge of a meltdown. Back to the blog...I have always loved crafting, decorating and baking.  I think it goes back to my mother's incredible knack for making anything we asked for given the fact we could not afford to buy said things.  I got away from it for awhile, but have decided to get back to my love for DIY projects.  What better motivator than to write about it?   Writing is actually another passion of mine that got away from me after three kids.  I have this notorious reputation for starting things but never finishing them, I blame the ADHD.  I could see a bird and get distracted during conversation.  I am not kidding.  I hope you will join me on my attempt at finishing my many "to-do" ideas and projects, as well as my daily struggles and victories.  After all, "life is a song worth singing" and I intend to live it out loud!
