12 days of Giveaways- Day 11: The old fashioned Milk Paint co. and Amy Levier Designs

Woohoo! We are all the way to Day 11, y'all! I really hope you have all been entering all of our giveaways! Congrats to those who have won so far! I will have Rafflecopter choose a ton of winners tomorrow so look for emails and stay tuned to the blog!

I'm really excited about today's giveaway, since you all know I have a passion for refinishing furniture, but also for GREEN products. This one fulfills both of those passions all in one GO! :)

I had my students at my DIY/Repurpose/Upcycle Furniture class try this the other day and they LOVED it, too.  Anne of The Old Fashioned Milk Paint Co. was kind enough to place 3qts of paint in winner's choice of color and 1qt extra bond up for grabs here, today.

I had a nice chat with Anne recently and I could tell how important it was to her to keep her father's traditions and dreams alive.  Her father was the "first [person] to was the first to develop a milk paint in powder form, in 1974." It even still comes in the sweet original brown paper bag packaging! My favorite part about it is that it truly is green. It was even the First USDA Certified Biobased Paint!

It comes in a variety of colors, too! A little goes a long way and this paint has wonderful coverage. If you want to achieve the lovely, chippy look that Milk Paint is so famous for, skip the Extra Bond. The paint will adhere to the parts that are not covered in poly or finish and will 'chip' off the parts that are. If you want a smooth finish, then simply add the Extra Bond according to the bottle's instructions. The company even makes a green wall paint, so check that out as well!

A huge thanks to Anne for sharing her father's amazing paint with us! :)

Next up, we have some amazing photography art by Amy Levier Designs! I find these prints to be so uniquely beautiful! This is what Amy had to say about her work:

"I have always loved graphic design. I was introduced to the idea of Alphabet Letter photography by a friend and immediately set about photographing architecture and nature in the shapes of letters...I am a one woman show in my studio. I photograph, design, print, frame and ship in house. I use other small businesses to get my supplies whenever possible. I put great pride and as my family would say "obsessive" thought into each piece I put together, so you know you are getting my very best!"

I love that! This lovely Framed 8x10 Family alphabet photography print is up for grabs, so make sure you enter!

Thanks, Amy!
