Hello! So I've been working on my garden...yes...you are reading correctly! Those of you who know me, know I have a reputation for making plants and flowers commit suicide in order to escape the painful fate of sure death at my hands! Alas, I have been inspired to have a garden, I blame Pinterest. I mean look at this! ::sigh:: It's too die for! Those colors! So I decided to give it a try! I stocked up on flowers and potting soil from my local nursery and decided to attempt the unthinkable: GARDENING! I recently scored five of these galvanized tins at a moving sale for $5.
Yes. All of them. Four small ones, and one large one, which I will show you later...for $5 total. I rock. :) I drilled holes in the bottom of them for drainage, like this:
No, there's no science to how to do this. I just did it. :) I then filled them with potting soil, and planted my pretty Snapdragons and Begonias. It was missing something. Something er.."french-y", So I found this awesome graphic over at The Graphics Fairy, and whipped out the ol' Modge Podge. I applied some to the cut out label, then to the tin, and sealed it with a few top coats, waiting until each coat was dry before applying the next. Volia! C'est magnifique!
