Pool Noodles and a photo booth

:) Hello y'all!

Here in Jersey it FINALLY feels like summer! How fitting for the following reason!

The awesome Pool Noodle event is here!

reFresh reStyle

I've been awaiting today for some time.  Just ask Debbie, I had been stalking her on Twitter, Instagram and FB daily! haha! So today, I wanted to go ahead and share my fun noodle craft as well as give a preview of tomorrow's post which will be a photo booth tutorial.  :)

Back to pool noodles!  Did you know, one can buy these awesome little things for only $1 a piece at a local Dollar Tree!?  Well, I did!  I bought several, in fact, and I knew JUST what to do with them!

I had been invited to attend a Pinterest party a an old friend's house!  Though she lives a tiny bit far away from me...ok maybe almost 2 hours away, I decided to make the trip over there anyways!  We were each asked to bring our own "pinned" craft and supplies to share with the rest of the girls.  So I did just that.  It did actually take me quite a while to get there, between traffic and such, but I got there eventually!

There's Theresa and her mom, ain't they cute!? :)

I met some sweet ladies and we got to crafting!  There were glue guns, yarn, supplies all over the place!  :) It was fun!  When it was all said and done, I made this baby, based off this pin. :) I am extremely happy with the results.

In the spirit of our nation's upcoming Independence Day, we added the letters to the bunting!  (Sadly, I removed them when I was asked to build a photobooth for my son's 4th grade farewell celebration.  I knew it was the PERFECT prop/backdrop for the country themed booth!)

Ain't I silly?! ;)

My sweet friend, Theresa, sent me her finished product as well!  She used burlap, jeans, some vintage lace, yarn poms and 50 mother of pearl buttons for the stars.  How darling, right!? :)

All in all, I had a BLAST completing this challenge!  I've since bought more noodles and plan on incorporating them in a client's upcoming party decor! ;)

Thanks to all the awesome ladies in the button above for hosting this awesome party, but a special shout out to my sweet bloggy friend, Debbie from Refresh Restyle for being extra awesome! hehe!

Don't forget to link up your projects today!

xoxo,
Evey

  4. What a fun idea for a party! Both wreaths turned out super cute! You will definitely have to add the USA banner back after you get done using the wreath for the photo booth. It adds such a nice touch! :-)
