5+ DIY Red Accent Furniture Pieces

The "pop of color" is a big trend right now.  Why not do it with red?  It makes a bold statement, and depending on the shade, it goes well with any decor style.  Here is a list of 5+ DIY Red Accent Furniture Pieces.

Depending on the finish, ASCP's Emperor's Silk can look either bright modern or dark and aged.  Here are two pieces done in Emperor's silk, but the first one is sealed with dark wax, and the second with clear.

Of course, I love a good cabinet, armoire or buffet in red! Lori over at Vintage Charm, has all three!

  1. I love the dark red you chose for the dresser. What a transformation! I really like the red chairs with the light blue chevron fabric, too.

  16. I LOVE your hallway buffet piece - I purchased one very similar with plans to restore it, but ended up selling it and now I regret it! And, as always, I love my girl Ciburbanity's chairs. I'm going to have to fly up there and steal them from her.

  17. I'm glad my RED is not out. I just redid my dresser with a bit more brown paint and wipe off. Painted the wooden knobs still on dresser by dabbing the paint on. Looks a bit more updated. Glad this darkened red is still in!
