Hey y'all! I'm so excited for today's post! Today, we're learning how to use the IkonArt Stencil Kit* to make REUSABLE stencils and our very own DIY Screenprint!

I had used an IkonArt Stencil back in Kansas last July, during an event at which I taught. I loved the reusable stencil and I loved the idea of being able to design and make my very own stencils at home! While I use my Cricut to make stencils all the time, they are single use stencils. I was especially intrigued at the idea of converting the brand new IkonArt Textile Film into a reusable screenprint!
So I did just that!
Here's what you'll need to make your very own screenprint!
- IkonArt Stencil Kit* (*Use code EVEYSCREATIONS for 15% off)
- For screenprinting, I recommend using their textile film.
- Canvas Frame (remove the canvas by removing the staples from the back or cutting along it with a craft knife.
- Painter's Tape (I prefer the FrogTape brand.)
- Cricut EasyPress 2 and mat* (*use code JANSHIP for free shipping on orders over $99)
- Cricut Rotary Cutter and Self-healing Mat or a pair of sewing scissors
- Acrylic Paint or Speedball brand Screenprinting Ink and squeegee
- Sunflower SVG from this Sunflowers bundle (which is currently only $2.50 WITH commercial license)
- Printer (You must use the corresponding film, so inkjet film for inkjet printers and laserjet film for laserjet printers.)
- Pro-Tip: Use either a PNG file or even better, an SVG file for best results and for a cleaner stencil
Here's the video tutorial for the method!
Honestly, my daughter is in LOVE with her new hoodie, and I love how easy it was to make! The best part, is that I can easily recreate it with my washable and reusable stencil and screenprint! We're already planning on making a matching tote bag!
A HUGE thank you to IkonArt for sending me their amazing machine and for partnering up with me to offer my readers a lifetime unique discount code (use EVEYSCREATIONS on the IkonArt website for 15% off your purchases)! I honestly am in LOVE with the possibilities! Stay tuned for MORE tutorials using this awesome machine soon!

I will definitely be using my IkonArt during the upcoming holidays!
